Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!
There are quite a few things that can cause a lack of power. A loss of power on acceleration can be a restricted catalytic converter, low fuel pressure, or it may be hitting a lowered rev limiter. If the engine controller sees an issue with the cam or crank senor or thinks that cam timing is incorrect then it will impose a low rev limiter.
The first step in diagnosing the problem is to check for fault codes. Do you know if any codes are setting?
