Good Afternoon, we have a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country.

Customer Question

Good Afternoon,
we have a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country. We went on vacation and folded the larger part of the third rod seat down in the stow and go position to be able to pack the car. when we went to try to unfold it, it is stuck in the position. The seat goes back into position but the back part of the seat stays folded. We don't know what to do and are afraid of how much it may cost.

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!
The problem could be electrical or mechanical. If you hear no noise when trying to move the seat it could be a module, motor, switch or wiring issue, but it's more likely to be a mechanical issue. I've seen mechanically locked up recliner mechanisms cause this problem most often on these. If the seat does attempt to move or you hear noise from the motor when pressing the button but it doesn't move then the most likely cause would be the recliner mechanism. The seat would need to be disassembled to know for sure what is going on.
