Have a 2007 pt cruiser. It won't start I replaced the battery,

Customer Question

Have a 2007 pt cruiser. It won't start I replaced the battery, the transmission has been rebuilt. I have been having this issue since I bought it in 2013. It has approx. 70k on it. I have tried putting it in nuetral. When I replaced the battery it was leaking and corrosion on it. Whoever put the battery in knew that the battery was no good since the battery stated corrosion or something like that.

Does the engine turn over fast enough to start?
Does the fuel pump run when you first turn the key to run?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No the engine doesn't turn over at all. But the fuel pump does run

When did you replace this battery?
Is this battery in there now new?
When you turn the key to start, do you hear anything, like a relay/solenoid click?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Just tilted the steering wheel and tried to start and it started right up.

Try it 10 times in a row shifting from both park and neutral and make sure it cranks everytime. If not, check the Park/Neutral Switch.
Is this a column shift and if so when you tilted the steering wheel did you touch the shifter?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
After tilting the steering wheel it has been starting. Any idea what that could mean?

No I don't because you didn't answer my question.
