Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited: I have a 2003 PT Cruiser Limited,

I have a 2003 PT Cruiser Limited, the problem is as after 2-3 miles the check engine light comes on, the engine bogs down like it is misfiring. I changed the coil, wires & plugs, checked continuity of wires from sensors to the pcm, all good. started it up and it ran better than ever. Test run failed after 1 mile. Codes for # XXXXX misfire and coil 2. Rechecked connections elec. and vac., listened to injectors and they are firing. Turn car off, let it sit a few min., try again and it idles smooth go down the street a ways and back to square one. The colder the engine the better it runs but only for a short distance. Engine high temp. is normal. What am I missing? Now check engine no code #.

SYMPTOM
P2305-IGNITION COIL # XXXXX SECONDARY CIRCUIT-INSUFFICIENT IONIZATION

TEST NOTE
This symptom is diagnosed using the test P2302-IGNITION COIL # XXXXX SECONDARY CIRCUIT-INSUFFICIENT IONIZATION.

WHEN MONITORED
Engine Running.

SET CONDITION
If PCM detects that the secondary ignition burn time is incorrect or not present an error is detected. One Trip Fault

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Intermittent condition
- Spark plug
- Ignition wire
- Ignition coil operation
- Ignition coil

SYMPTOM
P0352-IGNITION COIL # XXXXX CIRCUIT

TEST NOTE
This symptom is diagnosed using the test P0351-IGNITION COIL # XXXXX CIRCUIT.

WHEN MONITORED
With battery voltage greater than 11 volts during engine. Engine running. Engine RPM less than 8160. No coil in dwell during test.

SET CONDITION
Peak current is not achieved in 20 counts while burn is short. One Trip Fault.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Good trip equal to zero
- Ignition coil
- (A142) ASD relay output circuit
- Ignition coil driver circuit open
- Coil control circuit shorted to ground
- PCM

Replaced coil, plug wires. Ran better than ever for about 2-3 miles. Plugs were already replaced.

but,,this worries me that your problem may be the computer[PCM]

sometimes when a coil gos bad,,it will send high voltage back to the pcm,thus,burning out the quad drivers

Crap! Ok I also replaced the cam sensor, I'll try the crank sensor now and see what happens.

yes,,you can give it a try

sometimes the crank sensor will break down with heat,and,most times not give a code for it
