Customer Question

A/C compressor not working but works fine with hand held diagnostic connected to either side of relay. Changed out A/C control unit - still not working. Need wiring diagram to troubleshoot.

Country: Canada
Make: Chrysler
Model: Pacifica
Year: 2004
Engine: 3.5

Already Tried:
changed out control unit in dash but still no cold air. Checked charge - good. All blowers, etc working but compressor not starting. Tried using hand held diagnostic at both sides of relay in fuse panel and works good either way.

Hi,

Ok, do you have automatic or manual climate control, and do you have single or dual zone temperature control?

Do you have a suggestion as to what could be the problem? The dash board control unit has been replaced with no change. The coolant pressure is up and the unit starts and runs fine using a handheld diagnostic unit. it works when connected on either side of the relay.

Hi,

check the pressure sensor for 5v signal from the computer and signal from the pressure sensor back to the computer. If no 5v, then bad computer. If no signal from the sensor, then bad sensor.
