I have a LaBaron Convertible 89. The back widows need motor repair but first I need to get at them. How do I get the paneling off in the back to get at the motors and regulators. My Chrysler dealer said the parts need to come from an out source vendor and they cost $200.00 each. Both of my back windows don't work one stays up and the other won't go up, yea great mix.

Hi, my name is XXX XXX I may be abler to help you with the back windows.
First, you have to remove the back seat bottom and the seat back.
The bottom is in with spring clips, just push down of the front edge of the rear seat and grab underneath the lower edge and pull it stright back and remove it from the car.
The seat back has two screws (or bolts) you will see at the bottom of the seat back that are screwed into the rear floor pan.
Remove the rear seat back from the inside of the car.

Now you will see some screw heads near the bottom of the rear side panal, or maybe it will have a clip on the back, either way you should see how to remove the sride trip panels.
Once the panels are removed you will see the nuts that secure the window motors to the side trip brackets, it's sort of self explainatory.
once you have the motors and glass out you can remove the motor linkage from the glass and set the glass aside.
As for replacement window motors, you might find used or rebuilt ones on ebay or just Google "Chrysler LaBaron rear window motors" and something should come up that will be cheaper than the the dealer.
Just reverse the procedure to install the new motors.
BTW, this is a common problem on the LaBaron comverts or J-bodies as we called them at Chrysler.
Hope this helps and keep me posted.
