what parts need to be replaced when the passenger door power lock stops working and makes a grinding noise?

Welcome to Just Answer Chrysler my name is Mark.If you hear the "grinding" noise directly from the door itself, then the electric motor that operates the lock is what is causing the noise. The lock motor/actuator is incorporated into the door latch, so in this situation you would need to replace the door latch. If you would like any additional information or have more questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
