I have a 2001 Town & Country with a 4 CD player. All four slots have CDs in them but the first one will not eject and it is stuck in the mode to eject that one. Is there a way to get out of that mode or force the CD to eject?

Hi Mark,I would first remove the negative battery terminal and hold it on the positive post for 10 sec and then reconnect..That will discharge all the modules incase the cd changer is locked up.. Then try and eject that cd.. Here is the operation of the cd changer:
Due to its compact design, the CD changer can carry out only one operation at a time. For example, you can not load a new disc while playing another at the same time. Each operation happens sequentially.
The radio unit provides control over all features of the CD changer with the exception of the CD load and eject functions, which are controlled by buttons located on the front of the CD changer. All features you would expect, such as Disc Up/Down, Track Up/Down, Random and Scan are controlled by the radio, which also displays all relevant CD changer information on the radio display.
The CD changer contains a Load/Eject button and an indicator LED for each of the four disc positions as well as an illuminated disc opening. The individual LED indicates whether a CD is currently loaded in that particular chamber of the CD changer. Pressing the individual Load/Eject button for a particular chamber will eject a disc currently present in that chamber. If the chamber is currently empty, actuating the Load/Eject button will position that chamber to receive and load a new disc in that chamberIf it still will not eject, it looks like the cd changer is faulty and will need to be replaced..
If you need anymore assistance, feel free to askHave a great weekend!Brad
Interesting trick to discharge the electricity by holding the negative battery terminal on the positive post. I tried it but it would not reach, even when I took off the side guard. Wires are all bundled together. However, after the battery was disconnected for awhile, the CD changer is blinking about once per second with load buttons 1 & 2 and then alternating with loads button 3 & 4. No response to button pushes. I imagine the CD player is done.
Hi Mark,That is the correct diagnosis.. I would suggest you replace the CD Player.. I will also say that if you remove it and get the part number off of it, EBAY is a great place to find one..If you need anymore assistance, feel free to askBrad
