okay that major i can use 01 without even though i originally had 01 w/egr.if i swap intake. now to use 02 motor with or without what might i need to look for.

You need to swap intake and exhaust manifolds to use the 01.
You have to compare the cam tone ring number of holes, and shape of holes, to your engines tone ring. ( look down through the cam sensor hole) You will see a noticeable difference in the new and old style. The 02 tone ring has to be exactly the same; this means the rest of the motor will match
