Hello and welcome to Just Answer, my name is Matt.
hi sir
mr.matt are u with me
yes.
sorry, system locked up for a minute
do u understand my issue
it is very common for the recirculation door to break
If you take out the glove box and the blower motor you can check the recirc door.
its easy jop to do
?
can i do it by my self
It is a medium difficulty job.
need part replacement
According to the service information, it is necessary to pull the dash to replace the door. However, we found a way to "cheat" and get the new door in without pulling the dash.
how
it is kind of hard to explain, but you pull the glove box out, remove the blower motor, then remove as many of the case screws as you can get to. Pull the case halves slightly apart. Then the door can be twisted and turned in such a away that it will come out.
The door is flexible, which makes this easier.
Of course, you have to be careful.
The first thing I would do is check it to verify that it is broken.
how to know that its broken?
The recric door will be on top (above) the blower motor. With the engine running and A/C on, press the recirc button and see if the door moves. If not, it might be broken. Then, try to move the door by hand. It should not move by hand. If it is loose and moves easily by hand, it is broken.
do you recommended to take it to the dealer...its under warranty
Yes, I would take it to the dealer. The repair should be covered by warranty.
