1.Disconnect and isolate the battery negative
cable.

2.Remove the appropriate sliding door trim panel,
.

3.Position the weathershield aside to gain access to the
flex drive assembly.

4.Remove the E-clip from the flex drive assembly

Door Panel Removal

1.Remove sliding door upper frame
molding.

2.If removing the left sliding door trim panel, remove
screw from inside ash receiver bezel.

3.Remove screw from pull
cup.

4.Disengage push-in fasteners holding trim to door panel
around perimeter and upper edge of door

5.Remove sliding door trim panel from vehicle.
Once door panel is removed and flew drive cable is removed from the motor you need to break to plastic retaining pins out and the remove the motor

I think what you are saying is that I work from the inside of the car on all the door panel. This may be more than what I want to undertake. Replacing the motor is what the dealer told me with the motor only was $434 plus labor but there was mention of a locking or latching part and maybe the flex cable. This van only has 54000 miles on it and this seems premature but could turn into big money, especially since they also say the bladder for the air bag system under the passenger seat is bad (light comes on in dash) and the entire seat may be replaced for $1400 but they are checking with Chrysler on this.

The motor is a very common failure. Yes you work from the inside of the vehicle to do this and it is kind of complicated to do.
