my obd 2 reader is sending a P0562 system voltage low
what is the likely cause of this in a 2004 pt cruiser?
Do I just need to charge the battery?

Hello and welcome to just answer. Yes this could be just a discharged or failing battery, So charge it up and then test it at your auto parts store. The other thing it may be is a charging system that is failing (alternator, cable problem, etc.)
