tim's auto repair :

hi

tim's auto repair :

how many miles is on the car?

tim's auto repair :

are you there?

Customer :

83852, it origanaly had a problem w it going into limp home after 5-10 miles codes then were p0700,p0841,p1776,p0871,p0562. i changed the solenoid block pack w a new unit, and test drove got all monitors ready for inspection, wich they all passed and no codes, after 80 miles however i have this problem w it now

tim's auto repair :

ok

tim's auto repair :

do you have all gears?

tim's auto repair :

it just down shifts hard?

Customer :

yes all gears just down shifts hard from i believe 3-2

tim's auto repair :

ok

tim's auto repair :

has the transmission ever been rbuilt?

tim's auto repair :

rebuilt?

Customer :

not to my knowledge, my customer just purcased this not to long ago so im sure they dont know either

tim's auto repair :

and,,no codes...correct?

Customer :

corect no codes

tim's auto repair :

when you first installed the new solenoid block,,,did it do this?

Customer :

actualy if it did it was not this noticable, it is much worse now

tim's auto repair :

ok

tim's auto repair :

what brand solinds did you use?

tim's auto repair :

solenoids?

Customer :

a606 42le

tim's auto repair :

i mean the brand,,,the company that built the block

tim's auto repair :

borg warner?

Customer :

oh sorry that i do not know

tim's auto repair :

ok

Customer :

its actualy a reman unit sorry

tim's auto repair :

here is my thoughts on this

tim's auto repair :

ok

tim's auto repair :

if the transmission has ever been rebuilt..

tim's auto repair :

we like to use a transgo shift kit in these

tim's auto repair :

if it has been done,,there is one hole you can drill in the valvebody plate that will cause a quick 3-2 downshift

tim's auto repair :

but,,it still should not be real noticeable

tim's auto repair :

i think your problem,,is still the solenoids

tim's auto repair :

replace the block again..

tim's auto repair :

i would recomend using the borge warner block

tim's auto repair :

it is very common to get a bad solenoid block for these,,,

tim's auto repair :

we have much better luck with the borge warner brand

tim's auto repair :

i would think this is the problem here sense you dont get a code
