Hi Welcome to Just Answer!
First thing to do is check your coolant level to make sure you are not low on coolant. If the coolant os low that is a sign that there is a leak somewhere in the cooling system.
If the coolant level is ok it is most likely a thermosat problem. What you should do first is have the car checked to see what codes are causing the check engine light to be on. Most auto parts stores will check the codes for you free of charge.
Coolant level is fine, no leaks showing anywhere. Thought it might be the thermostat. Didn't know that the auto stores can check computer codes free of charge. thank you for that information.
no problem always glad to help
Is changing the thermostat an easy job on those vehicles? Is it something I could do myself?
which engine do you have in your 300?
sorry to tell you this but of the engines that is the worst one to replace
it is located where the lower radiator hose goes into the engine
Go figure... ok thank you for your help!!!! Appreciate the help!
