2005 Chrysler: Tried moving steering wheel..shifter..turning key

Resolved Question:

2005 Chrysler 300C ignition will not turn. It is in the off position. Tried moving steering wheel, pressing brake, wiggling shifter, no luck turning key. Noticed before this that sometimes key was difficult to turn but a little wiggle would turn it.

Brad :

Probally looking at 400 for parts and labor

Customer:

Brad :

I understand

Customer:

so it's not just a ignition cylinder

Brad :

You could get it and install it yourself, but you would need to have it towed to dealership to get programmed

Brad :

No, not anymore on these newer vehicles

Customer:

I might have to do that! I have free towing. LOL

Customer:

Is this a Chrysler only part? Or can I order the WCM online or autozone?

Brad :

Is there anything else I can help you with today?

Customer:

Do I have to buy from Chrysler

Brad :

Yes..I dont believe anyone else offers it

Customer:

Thank you! I have heard that it could be a cable out of adjustment. The adjustment is under the center console.

Brad :
