hello, one question do you have a slightly higher then normal idle?

Customer replied1053 days and 19 hours ago.

I don't think I have a higher normal idle. Seems to be the same as before the problem.

do you have cruise control and does it work?

Customer replied1053 days and 19 hours ago.

I do have cruise control it worked last time I used it but did not check or have used it recently. How is the vent issue related?

the reason i ask is because the vent door is vacuum actuated on your van and so is the cruise control, i think the problem you have is a vacuum leak and if the cruise was inop as well it would definitely point to a vacuum leak, you'll want to look over all the vacuum lines under the hood especially the one going into the firewall,i believe it enters in the same area or hole as the heater hoses, if you find a hose split or cracked you'll have to splice it back together. pay close attention to the little black plastic vacuum lines they get brittle with heat and age and like to break.
