2005 chrysler pacifica: oil pressure sensor..engine block and need

i have a 2005 chrysler pacifica im trying to locate the oil pressure sensor on engine block and need to know what i have to remove to get to it

this one shown is for the 3.8 v6; it is in the same location for the 3.5 v6, although there is no pic.:


  1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
  2. Position an oil collecting container under switch location.
  3. Disconnect electrical connector.
  4. Unscrew oil pressure switch from oil filter adapter

there is no oil pressure switch located there i just looked .need more info i have a 3.5l too? and would this be causing the my oil light to stay on because i have change the oil and level shows full?

Try this procedure ; i found this under 2006; since yours is not on the oil filter adapter, then it must be here.


1.Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
2.Raise vehicle on hoist (Refer to 04 - Vehicle Quick Reference/Hoisting - Standard Procedure) .
3.Remove accessory drive splash shield (2) (Refer to 23 - Body/Exterior/SHIELD, Splash - Removal)

4.Remove right front inner wheelhouse splash shield (7) (Refer to 23 - Body/Exterior/SHIELD, Splash - Removal)

5.Relax serpentine belt tensioner (1) and reposition serpentine belt (Refer to 07 - Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Removal)

6.Remove idler pulley (1) (Refer to 07 - Cooling/Accessory Drive/PULLEY, Idler - Removal)

7.Unlock and disconnect electrical connector (1) from oil pressure switch.

8.Position an oil collecting container under switch location.

9.Remove oil pressure switch (1) from oil filter adapter using Oil Pressure Socket C4597 or equivalent.
