Customer Question

Crossfire 2004 the ignition key will not turn the ignition switch and unable to unlock. How do I fix this problem?

Already Tried:
Had tried to jerk the steering wheel right to left and inserted the key to the ignition switch and turn to start engine it did not work.

Hi my name is john.

To try and start the car, did you try a different key first.

Than try tapping on the end of the key while it in the ignition switch with a plastic hammer several times while trying to turn the ignition lock cylinder.

if that don't work you will need to replace the lock cylinder it self.

I tried to start the car the key will not turn the ignition switch and the steering is lock because the ignition switch will not disengage the lock pin. I tried tapping on the end of the key, like what you said and still it did not work.Tell me how to remove those panel board/covering to be able to get access to ignition switch and to the lock pin. Thanks

I think there is a tab where the lock pin is that has to lifted
