Pacifica: 4 speed auto. it seems to surge / hesitate..40mph..warmed

Resolved Question:

Pacifica, built June 2005,3.5L, 4 speed auto. it seems to surge / hesitate while driving at constant speeds below 40mph. using autostick I find it does not matter what gear. it happens whether cold or warmed up, sometimes worse than other times, but always an issue. is this common? is it easily diagnosed?

This sounds like a fuel pressure concern. the best thing to do would be to have the fuel pressure checked also have the system scanned for fault codes. most part stores will do this for free and then you will have some idea where to look.
