My 2002 PT Cruiser had timing belt failure at 86,000 miles... my mechanic states that two of the valves did have damage and were broken off... he feels that the valves had broken off which then caused the timing belt to lock momentarily and fail... My question is would this be covered under my extended warranty as it appears that I will need either a rebuilt or used engine...
Hi my name is john.It depends on what your service contract says. Most of them run out at 70,000 miles. You will need to call them up and ask if it is still good.Let me know what else you need.
Thanks John
When I bought the car used I bought the 100,000 mile extended warranty..
Than it is covered. If I have help you, please push the accept button when were done.Thank you for choosing just answer
