Can a used remote keyless entry be reprogrammed to be used in another vehicle? If so what information would be necessary to be sure it was compatible? 4 dealers - 3 answers. Sent vin to Chrysler and "not enough info.?

If you are just reprograming the RKE module and not the skim module you should be able to program the RKE.

Is the RKE transmitter the same as the key or is it a seperate unit?
