Hi Do you have battery voltage on the big wire that hooks up to the alternator?

the pcm controls the regulator do you have a scan tool to check for codes

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
everything connected

The fuse link that you speak of is in line on the big wire that hooks to the back of the alternator this can be checked by verifying that this wire has battery voltage when it is un hooked from the alternator

Expert:  Reggie Whiddon replied 6 days ago.

Do you have a voltmeter or test light

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
we have a test light

Okay if you go out to the alternator and disconnect the big wire does it have voltage while it is unhooked from the alternator

All we have is a test light. We tested the batter wires those are reading 11.7V and its brand new battery. Could it be a bad alternator. A mechanic came out said all wires are good at battery and they not bad by alternator
