Hi,

Have you checked the oil level yet?

Expert:  Jared D replied 3 months ago.

With the engine off the oil should be anywhere in between the cross hatch section on the oil dipstick.

Expert:  Jared D replied 3 months ago.

If the oil gets too low it will trigger that warning on the dash. If you turned the engine off right away you may have avoided any engine damage.

I did as it said when it happened. I will get an oil change asap

If you check the oil level and it's low add one quart at a time and check the dipstick between each quart. Once the oil is at the correct level you should be ok to drive it. I wouldn't drive it at all without making sure the oil is withing normal range or you could risk ruining the engine.
