Expert:  Gary replied 5 months ago.

does the 80 amp fuse have 12 volts at both side of it testing it in place ?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I mean it was a 80a
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Hello
Expert:  Gary replied 5 months ago.

try to disconnect both battery cables for 5 minutes then touch the 2 battery cables together for 1 minute then reconnect both to the battery will it still now work ?

if it still will not work with that fuse being good what has happened is when it was jump started it spiked the steering computer and damaged it and would need to be replaced

it just needs that power to operate from the 80 amp fuse

Expert:  Gary replied 5 months ago.

loosen the bolt in each battery cable end at the battery to remove the cables off the battery

It's hard to disconnect anything it's a complicated battery it's a 2010 Chevrolet equinox
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
will the 80 a fuse work or no
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
80a fuse I meant
Expert:  Gary replied 5 months ago.

yes it is supposed to be an 80 amp fuse

if that fuse shows 12 volts on both sides of it then the fuse is good

as you said you tested it and it showed 12 volts on both sides of it

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I guess they work I just brought it and u said the 80a would not work

But I brought a 80A fuse will that work good ass the 80 I was trying to ask sorry for the confusing
Expert:  Gary replied 5 months ago.

they both are 80 amp fuses

if the old was 80 and the new is 80 then it should work

there i no other fuse but an 80 for the steering power

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I brought 80a from auto zone it wasn't just a 80
Expert:  Gary replied 5 months ago.

the fuse should be 80 amp

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Ok so I brought the wrong fuse the 80A is should have been just a 80
Expert:  Gary replied 5 months ago.

if the old fuse shows 12 volts on both sides of it the fuse is fine

Customer: replied 5 months ago.

Expert:  Gary replied 5 months ago.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Well when I put the 80a in u seen sparkes so I'm assume it works I didn't test anything I just took the old 80 out and put in the 80A
Expert:  Gary replied 5 months ago.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Or should it reprogram it self
Expert:  Gary replied 5 months ago.

it should only erase radio presets
