not much to it. do you have a meter?

Customer: replied 20 days ago.
Expert:  david craig replied 20 days ago.

you need to check the wiring from the ignition switch to the starter relay for a short to ground.

Expert:  david craig replied 20 days ago.

you might want to move the wiring around at the switch to see if you can get it to act up.

Customer: replied 20 days ago.

Battery has been disconnected few days.. Today reconnected ..starter was not trying to start on its own... went inside turned key van started a running fine.
CRAZY! .. what can I check?? Don't want it to do that when im on the road..
Expert:  david craig replied 20 days ago.

you need to check the wiring from the ignition switch to the starter relay like i said. if its grounding our then its going to start by itself. its obvious an intermittent problem, so it probably is a wire on the ignition switch touching another wire or metal, supplying a ground to the starter relay.

Customer: replied 20 days ago.
Ok..thank you!
Customer: replied 20 days ago.
Diagram shows 2 relays right?
Expert:  david craig replied 20 days ago.

one relay...........

Expert:  david craig replied 20 days ago.

the starter relay is the only one on that print

Expert:  david craig replied 20 days ago.

i guess if you want to consider the starter solenoid a relay you'd be correct as it acts the same way

Expert:  david craig replied 19 days ago.

checking in to see how its going

Expert:  david craig replied 19 days ago.

do you still need assistance?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If the problem isn't the starter itself then it either has to be the relay, a short to voltage on the relay output circuit (unlikely), or the relay is being turned on by the ignition switch or a short on the control circuit.

Has the relay been replaced or swapped with another?
