Chevrolet Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today.
Can you clarify your issue here?
So when you turn them off they stop in the full up position but otherwise work fine, correct?
Do you have a multimeter to do any testing?
Hi there, I am Cam. Your vehicle has a very common issue that happened, its a tab on the base of the wiper motor. The tab is meant to engage a lever on the crank arm and reverse to park the wipers. The tab wears out causing the lever to miss and the arms park at the top. The fix is to replace the wiper motor support. The short term fix is to bend the tab slightly to engage the lever, but this is a short term fix.
The tab is shown central bottom on this picture, the right arrow is on the edge of it. Bend it in slightly to correct this.
