Having a problem with the Passlock. Theft system light stays

Having a problem with the Passlock. Theft system light stays on solid. Car is unable to start.
JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: Theft system light on the left side of the dash panel.
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 2004 Malibu Classic
JA: Are you fixing your Classic yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Tried reset procedure turning key to on and waiting 10 minutes. Disconnected battery in attempt to reset system.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

To reset the anti theft system you have to do a 30 minute relearn, here are the steps you have to follow. make sure to follow them step by step. If you miss a step you have to start all over. It is best to have a battery charger connected to the battery to make sue the battery voltage does not drop to low.
