JA: How has the ride been lately? Have you noticed any fluid under the car?

JA: Are you fixing your Tahoe yourself? What have you tried so far?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

The message is displaying because charging voltage is higher or lower than requested. Usually the issue is undercharging and caused by a failing alternator. The problem could be several things including the alternator, battery, cables and connections, even the engine controller itself.

It will take some electrical testing at the time the warning is being displayed but odds are the alternator is going to need to be replaced.
