hey how are you
1-there is a TSB on this issue on DTC P0011 & P0014
2- The DTC C0561 ,will require testing to narrow down what is a at fault ,a proper scanner will be needed for this one
TECHNICAL Bulletin No.: 08-06-04-011 Date: February 25, 2008 Subject: LY7 Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Check Engine Light Illuminated or Traction Control Message with One or More of the Following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS) P0011, P0014, P0021, P0024 (Reprogram ECM) Models: 2008 Buick Enclave 2007-2008 GMC Acadia 2007-2008 Saturn OUTLOOK with 3.6L V6 Engine (VIN 7 - RPO LY7) Condition Some customers may comment on a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Check Engine Light illuminated or Traction Control message with one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored: ^ P0011 - Intake Camshaft Position (CMP) System Performance Bank 1 ^ P0014 - Exhaust Camshaft Position (CMP) System Performance Bank 1 ^ P0021 - Intake Camshaft Position (CMP) System Performance Bank 2 ^ P0024 - Exhaust Camshaft Position (CMP) System Performance Bank 2 Correction If routine diagnosis using SI does not reveal any obvious cause reprogram the ECM using the latest calibration if the above concern is encountered. A revised engine calibration has been developed to address these issues. Reprogram the ECM with an updated software calibration. This new service calibration is available on TIS2WEB using the Service Programming System (SPS). As always make sure your Tech 2(R) is updated with the latest software version.
DTC C0561 Diagnostic Instructions - Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure. - Review Strategy Based Diagnosis for an overview of the diagnostic approach. - Diagnostic Procedure Instructions provides an overview of each diagnostic category. DTC Descriptors - DTC C0561 71: System Disabled Information Stored Invalid Serial Data Received. - DTC C0561 72: System Disabled Information Stored Alive Counter Incorrect. - DTC C0561 74: System Disabled Information Value of Signal Protection Calculation Incorrect. Circuit/System Description The electronic brake control module (EBCM) receives serial data messages from the body control module (BCM), engine control module (ECM), instrument panel cluster (IPC), and the transmission control module (TCM) which are needed to perform antilock brake system (ABS), vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES), or traction control system (TCS) functions. Conditions for Running the DTC Ignition voltage is greater than 10 volts. Conditions for Setting the DTC The EBCM receives an invalid serial data message from another module. Action Taken When the DTC Sets - The EBCM disables the traction control system (TCS)/ vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES). - A DIC message and/or a warning indicator may be displayed. Conditions for Clearing the DTC - The condition for the DTC is no longer present. - The EBCM clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in*****cycles. Diagnostic Aids This DTC indicates that there are no problems in the EBCM. The BCM, ECM, IPC and the TCM should be checked for a possible fault. Circuit/System Verification 1. With a scan tool, view the Invalid Signal Data Display. 2. If no invalid signal are present, view Signal Fault Data in the Enhanced DTC Data. 3. Refer to appropriate module for diagnosing the invalid message data. 4. Do not replace the EBCM due to this DTC fault.
