The engine only has 100,000 miles but was smoking a little

Customer Question

The engine only has 100,000 miles but was smoking a little when starting the car. Cylinder compression is good. I didn't remove the heads to install the new valve seals, but just pulled the engine from the car to clean up the engine bay. Installed headers, distributor, spark plugs, valve seals, new intake gasket, and new sensors. Installed engine in car, changed oil and water. Started right up and immediately began to pour out white exhaust smoke. Ran the car several minutes several times hoping to clear up the problem but no luck.

Is the smoke white, or is it a blueish gray?
