Hello. My name is ***** ***** I am happy to assist you today. Give me just a moment to review your post, and I'll be right back with the help you need.
If you monitor the actual engine temp on your scan tool is the engine actually overheating?
Okay you may have a bad temp sending unit but to verify this you need to be able to read the actual engine temp with a scan tool.
Its right next to the engine thermostat but before you replace it I would do the testing to be sure it is at fault. I have enclosed the removal steps as well as the testing steps in the links below.https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/104923897/Coolent%20temp%20sending%20unit%20Sept%2015.pdfhttps://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/104923897/Engine%20temp%20testing%20Sept%2015.pdfPlease take a moment to rate my service so I can get credit for my time, the question remains open for follow up even after doing so, all you need to do is return to this question if need be.Thank you again.
