JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?

When you say the lock is stuck, you are talking about the manual lock slider/lever at the door handle?

I mean when I try yo close the door it bounces open the lock is either broken or stuck

Ok, the latch is stuck, like its closed. If you hold the handle operand try to swing the latch open, or did you try this?

To be honest then, if you tried that and it won't release, that indicates the latch is likely worn or damaged internally. Given that it will not work, you are far better off having the door open and this happening.
Your best bet now is to remove it and replace it. The odds of it happening again but with the door closed are higher and it might not be as easy to get it open.

LOL, I know, but trust me, having the door open and it messed up is better than closed!!. Stand by a couple minutes and I will get you directions.
