All three brake light stay on most times or come on by them

Customer Question

all three brake light stay on most times or come on by them self, I have changed the pedal sensor. and if i don't touch the switch they stay on and if i grab the switch and move it more toward the diver seat they turn of and stay off till I hit the breaks then they stay on again until the switch arm is moved toward the seat again
JA: Have you checked the brake fluid? How's the level and when was it last changed?
Customer: changed at the dealer a year ago level seems good
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 2012 Equ LT 2.4L vin K
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: changed the brake pedal position sensor.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: have intermittent curse control engaging problems as well. this works fine when the brake lots stay off but not when they stay on

Hello. First of all, is the sensor secure in the bracket that it is mounted to? when you say that you move it closer to the seat, is the whole sensor moving in the bracket?

If the sensor is secure in the bracket, then you will have to perform the calibration using a capable scan tool. Please let me know if that answers your question. Thank you.
