Customer Question

My 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.8 front break calipers are sqeezing the rotors going down the interstate and you never know when it is going to happen. Last year I replaced the master cylinder and that corrected the problem but I still do not know why.

So has the problem returned now or you are just wondering how it occurred?

It has returned last week. It's just strange and I hate throwing parts at trying to fix it. I could get another master cylinder but I'm not sure I need one. I can pull the truck over and pump the breaks and it fixes the problem but I never know when it is going to happen again.

First i would check for any fluid in your brake booster, pull the big vacuum line off and stick a ziptie down like a dipstick and see if you are getting brake fluid into your booster.

Let me try that this evening when I get home and then I will tell you what I find. Have a great day.
