I lost my key and the locksmith drilled out the key cylinder

Customer Question

i lost my key and the locksmith drilled out the key cylinder and started it with a screwdriver. it worked for him but i cannot get it to work for me
JA: Do you have a backup key? Maybe the emergency kind that fits in your wallet?
Customer: no. i sure don't.
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: it's actually a 1993 Fleetwood Pace Arrow w/a 454
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: i just bought it for my ex-wife and kids to live in temporarily after being flooded and losing everything
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: i plan to get a locksmith out, but i need to move the RV so it can be plugged into a power outlet i had installed on a power pole for electricity

did you install a new key cylinder?
IF not, what happens when you try to start with Screwdriver?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
not yet. It will not turn. They person i bought it from cranked it by pushing a pin and then turning the screwdriver when he cranked for me. but, I can't get it to turn. maybe i missed a step?

Be sure the flatblade is not to wide
There should be a small opening in the bottom of the Steering Column Cylinder where the Key Cylinder goes
When you push down & turn, wiggle the steering wheel a little so the flatblade will turn

is there another any tab that needs to be pressed? there is also 2 spring loaded pins

typically the Key cylinder has the one to push in with the Key, then turn
The flatblade should go into a small slot & push in, then turn
