2004 w 22 chassis. 8.1 liter lost power up hills, running

Customer Question

2004 w 22 chassis. 8.1 liter lost power up hills, running slugish then running choppy. the more i drove it back to the area for repairs the worse it got. I could only go 10 miles per hour before parking it. Was told bad gas and tried the sea foam. Did not help. 37,000 miles. Check engine light on with 2 o2 sensor codes P0131, P0151. my opinion is this is not fuel related- but is either the MAF sensor or the throttle body. More likely the maf sensor. HELP PLEASE!

P0131 and P0151 Possible causes :

  • Faulty 02 oxygen sensor
  • Short to voltage on O2 signal circuit
  • High resistance or open on O2 signal circuit

Possible Solutions

  • Replace faulty sensor
  • Repair short, open, or high resistance on 02 signal circuit
