My husband pulled his 2006 chevy 1500 forward about 10 feet

Customer Question

my husband pulled his 2006 chevy 1500 forward about 10 feet yesterday (after it had been sitting idle for about 10 days. Now it won't start. Lights and radio work fine but no crank when turning the key. It is parked on a downhill incline (not sure if that affects anything). Wondering if you can help trouble shoot why it wont turn over now.

First let's check the basics like the battery for a full charge and that it passes a load test. A load tester is required for this. Lights and other accessories can still work with a bad battery, dead cell.

Check the battery cables at both ends for tightness and corrosion.

If all this is okay, then check the starter draw with an ammmeter.
