Chevrolet Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi, I'm Ron and I will be helping you today.Stand by for a moment while I prepare your answer.
That's a tough one when the dealer can't fix their own vehicles, sorry to hear that news.
What needs to be done is attach a scan tool to the computer system and read ALL the modules for possible codes.
Then they need to do some bidirectional testing of every module to see if they communicate.
If all these tests pass, then the computer needs to be re-flashed or replaced. We don't know exactly what they did when it was there, but what I told you is the correct protocol to do.
Hi, I'm just following up with you to see if you have any more questions. Thanks, Ron
