intermittent missing, code shows cylinder 1 is misfiring. Feels like it is other also from time to time. sometimes nothing sometimes misses. Thought bad gas but now thinking Crank sensor. 2005 Silverado HD 8.1 210000 rebuilt at 185000

Customer: not stalling just missing at idle and while running down the highway

Customer: Yes fixing myself have not tried anything yet.

The scanner code was P0301

Ok.

It won't be a crank sensor just for cylinder 1.

As an intermittent, why don't do you swap, the coil, the spark plug, the plug lead, and the injector, taking note where all the parts from cyl 1 went.

Then when the misfire reoccurs, it could be one of those components, or further diagnosis required.
