I replaced a multifunction a while back and now my flashers

Customer Question

I replaced a multifunction a while back and now my flashers will come on until I jiggle the switch just right. Also, my temp gauge and fuel gage act up. Any correclation?
JA: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?
Customer: It does seem to eat more gas, but it starts normal.
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 2005 Impala
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Would like to fix it myself. I have replaced the multifunction switch when it wouldn't go off high beams.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: I think that is it
