It is a 2.2 engine
. I took it apart and didn't put it back right a way. I replaced the water pump
,but not the bracket and pulleys and hoses and the alt, hoses and belt. I have some knowledge fixing aircraft in the Air force some time ago.these four cylinder vehicles kind of throw me off. If I could get to the belt and radiator
,O think I will be fine. I am a young fellow (66 yrs young) thanks for your ear,😊.
JA: Has the vehicle ever overheated? And when was it last serviced?
Customer: I turned it off before it went 1/4 to1/2 inch pass the half way point. The radiator separated on top. I am planning to replace water pump(replaced pump) belt and hoses. Plugs, oil ,trans fluid, oil. It been sitting about a year. I put marvel muster oil in the fuel and oil tanks. Will change eng coolant.
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 2003 Chevy S-10, 2.2
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: The water pump simed
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: I thought that it would be easy. The brackets and position of the water pump and spark plugs
looked misplaced. I was an eight cylinder man. Largest 73 (455 in a 78 Trans A.M.) 6-8 miles to the gal. Sweet
