truck wont start, security ,2001 s10 can this be bypassed? Has happened more than once
JA: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Customer: the cables are secured and not corrided
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: not fixing just trying to leave. I have tried disconnecting negative post on battery.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

ok, this means the computer has lost the programming for the key, and you will need to relearn it, are you at the vehicle now?

ok, insert the key and crank it, it wont start, but then let the key come back to the run position, and leave it there for about 10 minutes, and watch the security light, after approximately 10 minutes, the light will go out, then turn the key off for 5 seconds, then it should start
