My chevy astro van brake lights aren't working. fuse is

Customer Question

my chevy astro van brake lights aren't working. fuse is good. bulb is fine
JA: Have you checked the brake fluid? How's the level and when was it last changed?
Customer: I haven't checked that. Why would the fluid affect the lights? the brakes work ok
JA: What year is your Astro?
Customer: 2005. And I should mention that my door locks are possessed and going on on off while driving. so i am thinking something electrical is not happy
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: i am not too savvy with mechanics but am trying to trouble shoot. my mechanic can't see the van for several more days...i put new bulbs in, checked the fuses...
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: nope
