I have a 2004 Chevy Venture V6 3.4. It starts intermittently, but will always crank. If it is any help the fuel guage doesn't work, but I am not worried about that unless it helps diagnose the problem. Usually it starts on the second try but if not we have to spray with starter fluid. I just want this car to last 1 1/2 years more.
JA: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?
Customer: Not a gas hog that I have noticed. When it starts, it starts great and the engine
runs fantastic, when it is going.
JA: What is the model of your '04 Chevy?
Customer: Venture mini van
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Son-in-law has tried two different scopes and replace camshaft
positioning sensors. fuel pump, plugs, fuel pressure sensor.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: The scopes are now saying that there is a ground fault.
