I have a 1996 Chevy K2500 5.7L.Engine runs without missing

Customer Question

I have a 1996 Chevy K2500 5.7L.Engine runs without missing in 1st through 3rd under load. However, when in OD and going up a slight grade (on the freeway traveling 60mph) the engine starts to run very rough and seems to miss real bad and suffers a dramatic loss of power. My name is Bob Thanks

is there a check engine light on ?

have you had a diagnostic scan and retrieved the fault codes ?

what is the mileage on it ?

have the trans fluid been serviced ?

what service has been done to it lately and did this start it gradualy or suddenly the lack of power and loss of power under load ?

Please let me know

Thank You

No lite is on. 119,000mi. No trans service has been done. I changed the motor oil 5 to 6 weeks ago.I would say it started gradually, and seems to be getting worse.
