Chevrolet Repair Questions? Ask a Chevy Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi There, I'm Clayso a certified master automobile technician with 30 years of automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
From your description sounds like a leaking fuel pressure regulator. Have the fuel pressure checked, it should stay at about 40.5 - 47 psi after the ignition is turned off. Make sure there is no fuel in the regulators vacuum line. Also check the resistance of the injectors at 70°F, they should be 16Ω. Let me know if any codes are set and what the old plugs looked like.
