Customer Question

I need help
JA: What is the model/year of your Chevy?
Customer: 2007 Silverado 2500hd Classic 4x4 with 6.0
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have no oil pressure I've checked to make sure the sending unit isn't blocked and installed a new oil pump but still no pressure and can hear the lifters tapping
JA: How old is your oil pump? Has the check engine light come on?
Customer: I just installed a brand new Melling oil pump and no lights come on other than low oil pressure
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: The truck only has 106k miles
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Chevy Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

I've changed the oil and filter as well

Is it no oil pressure or low oil pressure? Is the only thing you have is the warning light? If so, can you hookup a oil pressure gauge and check the oil pressure? Was the no/low oil pressure the reason for changing the oil pump and/or oil filter/oil in the first place or not?
