Chevrolet Repair Questions? Ask a Chevy Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello, my name is***** you done any testing? Has it started again? Thanks.
Does this usually happen when coming to a stop? Is the check engine light on? Thanks.
I mean did vehicle shut off while coming to a stop/slowing down or was it while going down road? Thanks.
It sounds like you may just have a dirty throttle body which will cause airflow restrictions during closed throttle conditions such as starting, slowing down, or at a stop. This can cause low idle, hard starting, and stalling. You will want to get some throttle body cleaner from parts store, spray onto rag, then wipe out throttle bore. Let me know if you have more questions, thanks.
