My 2008 chevy Silverado is making a loud humming noise when

Customer Question

my 2008 chevy Silverado is making a loud humming noise when I accelerate it will go away after I reach 40MPH or third gear. There is no trouble in how the truck drives, if it wasn't for the loud noise you would not think there is anything wrong with the truck. (I had to punch the gas hard yesterday to avoid a accident on the freeway and that is when to noise began)

If you make swooping left to right lane changes does the noise get louder turning either left or right?

No the noise is not affected by anything but acceleration
