Hello,

The canister is saturated with gas and usually comes from over filling the gas tank on fillup. Do you fill it all the way to the top so it doesnt hold anymore, or do you just fill it until the nozzle clicks off once or twice?

It's nowhere near full

I mean in the past on earlier fill ups.

If you fill it up normal by stopping after the first click, then The problem is with the evap purge solenoid. It will need replaced along with the canister because there is no way to get all that fuel out of it without replacing it.
